We loved our stay the Red Brick Inn. Cold water bottles and cookies right outside our door. The backyard garden is a must see. They have done an excellent job restoring this beautiful house. They were very accomendating, stored our bikes in the garage. After our showers we were provided with soft comfy robes. The breakfast was amazing...bacon that was baked with maple syrup. Fruit and eggs...they provided ice for our cooler and water bottles. Excellent experience.

We spent a long July 4 holiday at this wonderful place. We liked the privacy of the cabins while having the benefit of breakfast each day. If you like history, you should stay here. Amazing that the cabins are so old, yet so well preserved. Beds are very comfortable; air conditioners kept it very nice, even tho it was so hot and humid outside. Bathrooms are very nice & having a full bath and the 1/2 bath is a real plus. The grandkids were there for one nite and having the yard for them was a plus. There is a playground across the street that was fun for them too.
This was our "unplugged" weekend, but had good internet with our WIFI. We took one day and went into St Louis-got there in an hour. There is so much to do in this area and the cabin is a great place to come back to at the end of a great day.
We recommend this for many re...

When we arrived at the Augusta brewing company we asked our bartender if there was camping in the area. She recommended Klondike park about 2.5 miles down the trail. To get to this park follow the access trail up a hill and they offer primative tent camping for $7 or basic sites for $10 (includes a covered picnic table). This was great park and the best camping we had along the trail. It is part of the St. Charles county park system and the facilities were new and very clean. We camped on a Wednesday and it was very peaceful with only one other person camping. This park should definitely be included on this site!

We went to Augusta in February and were pleasantly surprised to find that the Augusta Brewing Co. had live music. There was a festival going on (Shiver Fest I think?). We have been here before, and like this day, the atmosphere was relaxed, and we had a good time. Food was good, beer was great, staff was friendly. They also have their patio newly enclosed and heated, which was really nice because it was a little cool! We will definately return.

3 ladies riding the Katy Trail and we stayed at the cabins on June 1. What a find! We had the whole place to ourselves. We had fresh homade brownies, all sort of snacks and the hughest bagels ever. The cabins are decorated so appealing and the hosts let us know that we were very welcome. They offered us extended time since they didnot have guests coming that next day. We would recommend this little secret to anyone riding the trail or traveling in a vehicle.
