Katy Trail Elevations

Below are the elevations (altitudes) for towns along the Katy Trail. As you can see, there is some variation in the western section, and then a gradual decline heading eastward from Boonville where the trail runs alongside the Missouri River.

My husband and I are new bikers and want to try to KATY trail. His skill level is much higher than mine. Can someone tell me what the grade from Clinton to Sedalia is like? Little hills, big hills, gradual grade? Is there a section of the trail that would be best for the beginner who can't handle much in the way of hills? Thanks for your advice.

We are coming to Missouri in late June. Which part of the trail is most scenic? Where can we get shuttles so we can ride just one way?
