Amtrak's cross-Missouri route stops at Sedalia, as well as a handful of other towns along the Katy Trail.  Bikes are allowed on this route, if arranged in advance.  See the Katy Trail Amtrak Guide for full details.

The Sedalia Fairgrounds Trailhead accommodates horse trailers, and equestrian use is permitted from there to Calhoun.

Great lunch stop. As soon as I walked in the door the host put two glasses of ice water at my table (apparently he has served bikers before). Food & service was great. Try to eat in the train car if you can.

The friendliest service we've ever had. Excellent food at excellent prices.
We frequently ride the trail early in the morning and we always try to make The Katy Trail Cafe our breakfast stop toward the end of the ride, omlettes to die for! You have to stop in or your missing out!

Great place to stay. Very friendly, including their pets. Will provide shuttle to trailhead or Amtrak. Will definitely go back.
