Great place to stop for the hiker. If the sign says "closed" go up to the window on Saturday morning and they will likely invite you in for coffee. Good coffee. Cheap prices. I had walked 6 miles from Tebbetts and was hungry so the coffee was great until I could get more breakfast later. Very friendly folks.

My son and I stopped here on our third day of riding. The clerk fixed an awesome sandwich. It was a nice place to sit and rest. The clerk and her daughter was very friendly and helpful.

Several of the other comments were not favorable for the market, but I disagree. A friend and I have ridden the trail twice, the first time in August of 2006 and recently in October of 2008. We have stopped at the Mokane Market both times. They offer deli meats and make a pretty good deli sandwich. We were able to get breakfast sandwiches recently and restock our supplies. We found the clerk and locals to be friendly.

I think this place has gone the way of the buffalo. It was boarded up when we went though.

I've stopped at this place twice on separate rides. They won't blow you away with kindness or personality, but store does have a very nice selection of simple groceries, drinks and snacks. You have to go to the store for water since the trailhead has nothing!
