Does anyone know how far the Comfort Inn in Boonville is off the trail? Also open to suggestions for other places there. We have a group of 8 made up of both couples and solos. Thanks.

Its about a quarter mile or so. Make sure you know where the spur you take to the hotel is though. If you miss it and end up at the trailhead you have a long uphill ride to get back to it. There is also a Holiday Inn Express in that area. That's where we usually stay.

The Hotel Frederick is worth checking out. It's a very nicely renovated old hotel right on the trail near downtown. We've stayed at the Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express and the Frederick....all have redeeming qualities.

Isle of Capri close to the trailhead on the river has $80 king rooms during the week. Buffet dinner and gambling for your party of 8?

The first time I tried - I found the spur to the Comfort Inn difficult to find and ended up riding all over the place before I got there. One of the more "well worn" Comfort Inns I have stayed in. OK...but needs a good cleaning and renovation in my opinion. I'll look at Holiday Inn Select right next door next time. Have also stayed at Isle of Capri. Can't beat the location...RIGHT ON THE TRAIL. Even in a "non-smoking room" you and your stuff are going to stink of smoke. That's your call...but the smoke is something I don't like. Haven't tried Hotel Frederick yet. I am kind of cheap when I'm bike touring. That's my 2 cents.
