Looks like the Treloar Mercantile building is for sale if anyone's feeling entrepreneurial. I'm in no way connected to this personally, but I saw it on Craigslist and thought I'd share here. http://stlouis.en.craigslist.org/bfs/4501099117.html

Maybe at half the price there would be some interest but since the trail is pretty seasonal it doesn't support the investment sufficiently.

ATTENTION everyone: if you ever get a chance to ride with Anonoh, make sure you do it on a gloomy day. Just sayin .........

Maybe Anonoh would be more cheerful if the whole trail was open to horses.

I'm sure Anonoh will let us know about all the environmental and safety precautions to be aware of around the horse poop on the trail.

Ever ride a trail with horse traffic? The nice granite packed path will turn into a sand box. No thanks.

Treloar is a unique town that has potential to draw more & more people / visitors ... typically on the weekends ... with the Treloar Bar & Grill there... Treloar is consistently getting more & more bicyclist, motorcycle riders, people from the surrounding area and people from abroad coming to Treloar due to it's central location ... it would be nice if some one could fix up the old mercantile / bank building ... it would truly enhance the town and become a beautiful place for people to come visit ... year around ...

I appreciate all the fine words. I did contact the realtor and this location has no septic or plumbing for either buildings so I do actually check into properties along the KT. Setting up some type of business along the KT is one of my intentions. However, a wise investment is necessary to get your through the down months of the year. Arky and Mid you are the greatest.
