For our one-night stay in a Klondike Park cabin, we didn't want to lug sleeping bags the previous 4 days on the trail, and that county park doesn't receive packages on site. My brilliant plan was to send the box to the Augusta post office, general delivery to myself. USPS web site says that PO reopens at 4 pm, giving me plenty of time to cycle in from McKittrick. Robin found out the PO actually closes at noon each day, then tracked me down, and offered to pick up the box and have it waiting for me at the Augusta Brewery. When I stopped at their shop in Defiance, her lovely father was minding the store, and he was just as friendly and out-of-his-way accommodating. Thank you Robin! People like you made this world a better place!
