I noticed on the Forum listing for services in Hermann that there was no link to the Hermann Crown Suites; a B&B I stayed at during my ride of the (entire) Trail the last week in Sept. They deserve a shout out.

Stayed here on a solo Katy Trail bike trip (overnight, Thurs 29 Sep). All I really needed was a bed, food and rest, but I received much more.
First, the ride from the Trail over Hwy 19 spur and the river is safe and well marked. As I rode over my last hill of a long ride, the Hermann Crowne Suite was strategically placed for a well earned downhill bike coast on spent legs.
The HRC staff greeted me upon arrival, personally escorted me about the B&B, and then to my room. My special reservation request for the Veterans Room was in place. The room had large windows on 2 sides, providing an excellent perspective down the main street of Hwy 19 and the village down 4th St. Added to the ambiance. My guess is the building was once an office, bank or (perhaps) boarding house originally. Don't know the history. But the restorations are well done and in keeping with the period nature of the building, while being CLEAN for guests (not old).

The Suites had secure storage for my bike and trailer, which was great.
The common dining area (for free breakfast) was open for guest access at all hours, allowing me to help myself to much needed cold drinks (after my ride), and abundant snack. I liked that.

I was able to walk the entire village from HRC's location with ease to explore Hermann for my first visit. The evening was cool and autumn skies so walking was nice, and Hermann was filling with visitors for a weekend winefest. I was able to secure an excellent evening repast just half a block from the Suites.
Everything is provided. My room was comfortable to the point of luxury for a B&B. It had a large jacuzzi that felt great after a long bike ride.

I had a minor personal emergency after hours [when no staff is available; and they remind you about it] , but the HRC staff helped me resolve the matter swiftly and professionally. I applaud them for being excellent hosts.

If ever I pass through Hermannn on another bike trip (or wine tasting), I am compelled to stay at the Hermann Crowne Suite so visit friends.
