Earlier comments mention cabins with a/c available for rent at the Steamboat Junction campground in Bluffton. Despite multiple calls, there hasn't been any answers. Does anyone know if the Steamboat Campground is still open and if the cabins with a/c are available?

We rode by Steamboat Junction the first week of July, 2017. It looked like it was still in existence but also looked deserted at the time. It's in the middle of nowhere (as in no food service around) and we didn't have any on us. So, we rode on to Portland and the River's Edge Campground. I don't know about the cabins at Steamboat Junction because we had a tent. But, the "self check-in" for tenting appeared to be still functioning.

If you want to stay in the Bluffton area, I would call Doug at the Bluffton Barn at 573-236-4575. He can either accommodate you or give you some good advice. Very nice guy.
