Can anyone tell me if there is very much tree coverage on the trail? Planning to ride Pleasant Hill to Windsor this September.

That section of the trail is very well shaded. Other parts of the trail the answer would be "it depends".

Google maps is a good resource to view the lay of the land.

Hi, that's the entire Rock Island portion of the Katy and in talking to the wife we think it's at least 75% shaded. We rode it about 10 days ago and it was in really excellent shape end to end.

The majority of the trail is at least partially shaded, and much of it is heavily shaded. A few sections with no shade, but for relatively short distances. Especially in September, I don't see this being an issue for you.
