We drive a small rv and travel to different bike trails. We are wondering if it’s possible to overnight camp. We are headed to McKittrick and would like to overnight park, ride the trail for a day and head out. Usually we find a campsite anyone know?

Go to Hermann instead. 2 miles from McKittrick across the Mo River. Camp in the Hermann City Park and then ride over the river to McKittrick and the Katy Trail from there. Enjoy.

If you would like something more private try Steamboat Junction 10 miles west of McKittrick. It's a more remote peaceful setting than the city park and right on the trail.

Klondike Park, between Defiance and Augusta has camping.

There is no RV parking at Klondike park. They do rent cabins, other than that it’s all walk in tent camping, no vehicles except in parking lots.

A nice place to camp with an RV is Katy Roundhouse just outside of Boonville. Quiet and right on the Katy Trail.
