Hooray! Hooray! Mid-Missouri Katy Trail riders rejoice! The Hartsburg Grand is a restaurant again ... and a very nice one at that!
A former jewel along a Katy Trail stretch (from Rocheport to Jefferson City) devoid of trailside eateries, the Hartsburg Grand has reemerged from its recent transition to an "events center" back into a wonderful oasis of hot food, cold drinks, and inviting atmosphere. Albeit only open on weekends, and more sports bar than upscale, date-night find ... the menu is varied, the food is delicious (good job, chef!), and the service is impeccable!
Ten miles from North Jefferson, 15 miles from McBaine (South Columbia) -- the Hartsburg Grand will once again become a weekend staple.
