Nice hotel. Bike friendly and accommodating. Got there early and they hurried to finish cleaning a first floor room for us while we waited in the lobby. The room was clean but a little tight with two bikes and panniers. Breakfast had standard Hampton fare; waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon. Several restaurants and a Walmart within walking distance and the ride to the trailhead was easy and not busy.

May 22-28, 2022 - The Hampton Inn staff was very helpful and bike friendly. Bikes were allowed in the room and our car was permitted to remain in their lot for 6 days during a ride to St Charles and return. Riding to the Clinton trail head was pretty straight forward (~2 miles) and is achievable without getting on a major roadway.

Is there a safe bike route from the Katy Trail to the Hampton or any other place to stay overnight in Clinton?

Or, you can leave your vehicle at the Clinton Community Center near the trailhead. Really nice folks with an established process.
