Katy Trail Shuttle Service in St Charles
Brian from Saint Charles on 07/27/2011 03:19 AM:
DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER ABOVE. THEY DO NOT EXIST and it is someone's personal phone # now.
Gary from Near Tebbetts on 07/27/2011 12:10 PM:
Brian, I'm sure Ray would be happy to check it out and update the listing but it would helpful if you specified what number above you are talking about.
Ray (webmaster) on 07/27/2011 12:41 PM:
Yes, I tracked this down and cleared it out. Brian will not be getting calls from shuttle seekers any more (he may have missed a great business opportunity!).
The old phone # was on a page that did not have links to it any more, but apparently people were still getting there from search engines.
Brian from Saint Charles on 07/28/2011 10:16 AM:
I thought about it, but do not own a van or anything similar. Thank you for finaly removing it.
Brian on 09/20/2018 07:12 PM:
7 years later... Still get the occasional Katy Trail phone call. Usually older sounding women who claim to be getting my number from a travel guide. Once every few months is tolerable. Way better than every day. Thanks again Ray

Katy Trail Shuttle Service (St Charles) -- will it open again in the Spring
Teresa from St Louis on 01/07/2008 01:39 PM:
When I call the number listed on this website for the Katy Trail Shuttle, I get a message saying the number is not in service. Does anyone know if the shuttle is shut down for the winter? Or has it gone out of business? I'm not interested in staying at a B&B, so innkeepers need not reply.
Ray (webmaster) on 01/08/2008 06:40 AM:
I am doubtful about whether they will reopen. The owner has a lot of things going on, and scaled back his shuttling operations quite a bit in 2007. I would not be surprised if he decided to get out of the business. I'll try to find out more.
Meanwhile, here's a complete list of shuttle services. Most of the services will shuttle between any two points on the trail, so it's worth talking to some of them to see if they can help you.

Show Me MO Tours @ www.showmemotours.com offers shuttle service all along the Katy Trail. All prices are listed on line.
Katy Trail Shuttle...still in biz?
Dave from Madison, WI on 06/22/2007 12:54 PM:
Does anyone know if the St. Charles based Katy Trail Shuttle (katytrailshuttle.com) is still in business? We used him two years ago to go to Kirkwood Amtrak, and he was efficient, friendly, and low-cost. I have e-mailed him 3 times this week with no response. Yellow cab is an alternative, but costs twice as much.
rhona lococo from St. Charles on 06/27/2007 06:33 PM:

scudrunner from bloomington on 12/31/2007 08:12 AM:
Why do I have to call long distance to get your price list?
Anonymous from St. Joseph, MO on 12/31/2007 04:26 PM:
Because it would defy the sound logic of the reasonable and prudent business person to be up front and open with potential clients so they could know what costs were to be incurred while using their services. I have asked Mz Lococococo to give us a clue here when posters ask for costs of their services and she will not do so. It is rather annoying to see people ask and ask and ask....and to see her paste and paste and paste her phone number for you to call. She does though advertise on this site and as she pointed out to me, has the the right to (annoy) continue to paste her number for you to call for more information. She also pointed out that it was my loss if I were to decide to stay elsewhere in St. Charles. I have stayed elsewhere. I have lost nothing. Do as you like, but for me....I'll go where they can tell me what the goods and services cost. Otherwise, I'm lead to believe that we all get charged differently depending on some contingency such as the monthly light bill......or that Alfred Tennison Thomas (AT&T)Locococo really was the architect of the Locococ House.

I have a question. I am a boy scout planning a trip for my troop in the fall, and I expect about 15 scouts and leaders to come along. We will be biking the trail from st. charles to sedalia, and I was wondering if the service toted bikes as well as people, and how many it can take.
ET from Columbia on 06/06/2007 05:11 PM:
I am nearly certain that Gary Creason can shuttle that many people and bikes.
Jim from St. Thomas on 06/08/2007 03:21 PM:
Tim, Congratulations on planning this adventure. If you will take a bit of advice from someone who has seen several groups of scouts at the end of some of these rides, start your training now. I would start with a couple of 10 mile rides a week for 2 or 3 weeks... then a couple 20s for 2 weeks then maybe a 20 and a 50 in the same week. I'm sure others here may have a better plan but the main thing is to get some time in the seat. Oh...the other thing is to raise your seats so your knees are not hitting you in the chin.

We used the Katy Trail Shuttle Service - they took us from St. Charles to Rocheport. They did a great job - they were on time and dependable. I recommend them.
