Wanted to pass on a great place to stay in McKittrick--Joey's Birdhouse. My son and I parked in Jefferson City and took the Amtrak w/bikes to Hermann. Joey and Rich, owners of Joey's Birdhouse, were kind enough to pick us up at the train station in Hermann and drove us the 3 miles to the Katy Trail where the Birdhouse is located(they also gave us a great tour of Hermann and McKittrick.)

Joey's Birdhouse was very clean and was great for my 14 yr old son and me. The Katy Trail was only a few hundred yards behind our rooms and we loved being able to get up and hit the trail quickly in the morning.

They had food and drinks in the refrigerator and gave us a tour of their garden and The Merck. I can't think of a better place to stay for our trip and will stay there again. Joey's art was also amazing--I wish we had room to carry some back!

Stayed at Joey's Birdhouse on Thurs June 7. Very nice and clean. Rich and Joey went out of their ways to make our stay fun and comfortable. Enjoyed listening to Rich's information and stories about McKittrick and Hermann and he gave us a quick tour of the town when he gave us a lift into Hermann. Joey is a fabulous artist and her style is interjected into numerous qualities at the B+B. Joey and Rich have an exciting vision for the future of McKittrick and I guarantee you will leave Joey's Birdhouse refreshed and inspired!!

Joey's was an amazing place to stay along the trail. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Joey. However, her partner Rich was kind enough to haul us to Hermann on friday and saturday. It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the guests in the suite next to us as well. Rich cooked us Huevos Ranchero's and Joey's sauce was awesome. We look forward to returning in the future. !!! Highly Recommended

I totally concur to this being a great place to stay, My wife and I stayed July 3, Rich and Joey went out of their way to accomodate us, and cold beer, I was sold. We will be coming back this fall and use this special place as a center, and ride a couple of days each way. This was the BEST stay we had on our ride...
