Can anyone tell us exactly how far the Rock Island is rideable on the western end? I know it officially ends at Pleasant Hill, but I've had people ask me specifically where it ends and how far you can ride in that direction.

I've been dying to come find out for myself but it's been a busy spring - haven't been about to get out there yet!

It ends at the Cass County Fairgrounds near old downtown Pleasant Hill. If you look for the fairgrounds on Google Maps and zoom in, you'll see a dashed line representing the trail and heading southeast from there.

Yes, the Western terminus is where the RI hits W Commercial St at the Cass County Fairgrounds (38.784192, -94.277816). However, as you head East, note that the trail immediately deviates from the RI to avoid a crossing of another set of tracks on puts you on MO-58 for a bit. This is shown relatively well on OpenStreeMap.
