We will be visiting family this weekend and will be looking to do a run. I've heard the Katy trail is a great place to get in a good run. Could someone tell me where to start in Jefferson City and which way to run. Is it pretty self-explanatory once you get on the trail? I'm assuming it's safe etc?

The trailhead is actually in north Jeff City. Just drive north across the MO river bridge and watch for the signs, it is easy to find. It's a great place to run/bike. Go west for more shade and prettier scenery.
