I am looking to find out what town to start in if we are coming down from Omaha NE. My BSA troop is looking to do a 50 mile hike with camping. We would like any thoughts and subjections from those who have hiked this trail.

From Pleasant Hill to Windsor on the Rock Island section of the Katy Trail is 47 miles. There is camping in Chilhowee and Windsor both. The shower house in Windsor closes for the winter but maybe you're planning for next year
