Hi everyone!
Just wondering how to finish the last days ride from WA to Kirkwood train station?
Looks like if you actually finish the Katie Trail, you need to add 17miles to go south to the station.
If you forget the trail, you stay south of river, way easier.
Has anyone ever just called a cab at St-Charles to go to train? Do they pick u up with a bike?

Your thoughts or experiences needed. Tks so much.

It's certainly possible to bike from St. Charles to Kirkwood, or from Creve Coeur to Kirkwood, or if you'd like to get off the trail even sooner, from Chesterfield to Kirkwood. Set Google Maps to Bicycling view and look at your route options; please reach out to me here if you'd like more details on, say, avoiding Olive Blvd in Creve Coeur. :)

Ray has lots of information on this site for getting from the Katy to the Kirkwood station. Here is the train page:

which has a link at the bottom with specific routes (5 suggested routes listed here):

Dave how is the ride on the 364 bridge [is it bike safe]separated from traffic. route looks nice on the other side of bridge.

Dave from Kirkwood on 7/27/2020 3:15:32 PM:
The 364 bridge has a dedicated lane/path with a large concrete wall separating you from traffic, so it is very safe.
