Clinton Trailhead

Are there any good ways to get my bike and myself from the Kansas City area to Clinton, MO to ride the entire trail? I can easily get from the amtrak station to my house on the return trip via bike, but I am not sure how to start the trip.

Alternatively, I could drive to Clinton and park there if anyone has suggestions for parking in Clinton and getting back to the trail head (preferably not by biking the entire trail in the reverse).

We parked at the train station in Lee's Summit and pedaled to the trail head in Pleasant Hill. From there we rode to intersect the KT in Windor and followed the trail to St Charles. We rode the train back to Lee's Summit.
