Just spent a night at Steamboat Junction Campground, as pleasant & clean as we remembered a few years back. Right off the Katy Trail, w/ nice tent sites set back away from the road & bike trail. Owner is friendly and accommodating. Was able to contact via phone w/ questions. Very quick to respond.

Their honor-system snack fridge saved me yesterday when I was running low on water on the shadeless stretch from Rhineland! Don't forget to have some small bills on you to take advantage of this :)
