Planning a one direction mid October. Does it matter which direction to travel?

The trail is pretty flat. That being said - overall, there is a very slight decline from West to East once you get past Pilot Grove/Boonville area.

Also keep in mind that the wind typically blows West to East, so you would "probably" be riding with the wind if you start in Clinton and head East.
