If you could spend a night in just one or two "favorite" towns on the trail -- which would be your favorites? This isn't to say anything negative about all the nice communities. But if your time was limited -- where would you want to spend the night? GO!

Rocheport and Hermann win hands down.

A third if given that option would be Boonville in times of normal trail between there and Rocheport.

Herman hands down my most favorite town. Then I enjoyed the campgrounds in Sedalia. Plus your a short bike ride to some fabulous BBQ.
