How does rain impact the trail? I’m planning on riding Friday, but looks like rain in the early morning.

Not all that much as the trail is pretty hard packed in most places. Wet leaves could be an issue. Hopefully you have fatter tires. Try running them nearer to their minimum pressure. The one thing that I like is fenders on the Katy. They keep me and the bike cleaner in both wet and dry conditions.
