Is there any lodging between St. Charles and Weldon Springs. 16mi might be too much of a (HIKE) for my wife. We are walking the trail.

There is a hotel (Best Western Plus St. Louis - West Chesterfield) up by I-64 if you walk up a Busch Greenway trail off the Katy. The detour would be around mile marker 52, and you walk up a nice paved trail to a wastewater treatment plant, and then on to the hotel (probably about 1 mile off Katy trail).

Another option would be to walk across the bridge over the Missouri River for I-64 (there is a separate sidewalk with protective barrier for bikes and pedestrians), and find a hotel in Chesterfield near the other side. The access offshoot to the bridge is around mile marker 51.
