Which tour company should I use?

Would like to do a clinton to st charles tour this fall. Looking at Noble bike touring and Crossroads touring. Prefer self guided just need help with lodgings and shuttle to stzrt of ride.

Noble Invention looks like an interesting tour company. I found them watching YouTube Katy trail videos....also a good source of info. I’m planning my trip and want to ride kansas to Illinois including Royals stadium to Cardinals stadium. A few ideas/things: Amtrak goes from KC to St Louis and it’s cheap. They take four bikes per train at $10/bike by reservation. The Rock Island trail is days/weeks from officially opening the extension from Lee’s summit (a KC suburb) to Truman Sports complex (Arrowhead stadium and Kauffman stadiums) One could ride from there to Lee’s Summit where the Rock Island has a nine mile undeveloped gap between there and Pleasant Hill where the Rock Island picks up again.....then to Windsor where the Katy Trail intersects....them east to St Louis. My plan is to either hop across the Mississippi directly to Alton after the Katy ends OR ride up to the Grafton Ferry to Illinois and take their trails down to St Louis area crossing at the scenic Chain of Rocks bridge. Final destinations are Arch and Cardinals for no particular reason. Amtrak home.

I planned my end to end trip using this site. No need for a tour company. Also, you can get a pretty good idea of what lodgings the tour companies use just by looking at their itineraries. Planning was half the fun for me. If you need any ideas, I'm happy to help :)

Independent Tourist has provided great tours on the Katy Trail for 18 years. Google Independent Tourist and scroll past the error message to the web site.

So, we are also planning to do the Katy Trail in the Fall. I got over zealous when I saw the blueprints offered by Noble Inventions Bike Touring - and I bought the $200 blueprint. It was worthless. Honestly, I barely looked at it because the one itinerary they offered for a 7 day trip was for 1-2 people. They offered one place to stay at each location (mostly expensive BnBs) We are a group of 4 and I just researched my own plan staying at Airbnb locations. I don't mean to roast them, but it offered very little.
