If you are on the Katy trail on the weekend the Claysville Store is the only place to eat and its fantastic. Mark and Laura remain the nicest people on the entire trail plus their fried chicken and Laura's blackberry cobbler can't be beat. Did I mention what nice people they are? Claysville Missouri and the Hooibrinks are a must.

Gosh Big Mike, I remember the Claysville Store from when I lived in Jefferson City and biked the Katy Trail often. You are so right, it is a great place to eat and the people working there and the owners were the best. By the way, Hartsburg was also a special town back then. Do you happen to know a former mayor, I think her name was Nancy?

For those not familiar, out of state folks, etc., the Claysville Store is not the only place to eat when on the trail on the weekend. Although choices may be slim in the immediate area of Claysville, the Claysville Store is not the only place open along the entire Katy trail on the weekend.

Where exactly is Claysville? I'm not seeing it on the map? Would LOVE to get some blackberry cobbler.

Oh yes!!! The cobbler!!!

Google maps shows it is 6.7 miles on the Katy Trail from the North Jefferson Katy Trail Jefferson City Spur. If you are going from North Jefferson City to Hartsburg it will be on your right. And the Claysville Store is about all there is there. It is a red building.
