Looks like there is some minor flooding going on- when I check the weather from Virginia, getting ready to fly out there. Anyone try to ford Salt Creek lately? Also wondering if there is still a closure at MM 116-118 due to a rock fall? Would appreciate guidance on the best place to look for up to date closures/detours (Friends of Katy Trail Facebook Group, or state park advisory - not sure if this is kept up to date, or this site,...)? THANK YOU, Marjorie

Kimberly posted about this a few hours after you. Basically the water is up in the creek and you need to detour. As for the rock slide it is from a cliff....think about how big cliffs are. I have not been there but this landslide is large enough to be seen in google maps satellite view. It is going to take some engineering and sadly, they have a limited budget for the Katy Trail

The rock slide was not difficult to get around. About 5min walking your bike on a stamped down path. Did this last may.
