Planning to bike the Katy from Kansas City to St Charles. Looking to park a car near the Katy Trail in St Charles area for one week. Any good options?

Their is a huge public parking lot adjacent to the trail in St Charles, at Frontier Park and L & C boat house/museums. I saw the Katy Trail public parking sign using street view. A clever option for possibly more secure (my opinion) parking is to use the parking garage at the Ameristar Casino. Get a players club/member card and throw it on your dash, possibly leave a note with your cell number and possibly call security or guest services in advance.....maybe even stay one night before or after your trip. Like anywhere, leave NOTHING visible of ANY value visible in your car to include coins, any sort of bag, etc....what may seem worthless to you might be tempting to a thief, tweaker, etc.
