The Rock Slide Closure???

I've seen several posts on different Face Book groups about the work being done around the rock slide just last week. Apparently the parks department was working on a path around the rock slide. People said that were able to ride around it but then several said that the path around it had been fenced off. Anyone have an update or any insight as to whether or not this has been fenced off?

We were through there on Thursday May 20th and they had just moved the detour fencing out of the way and were letting bikers pass. The ground was a little muddy and slick, and a little scary to ride up the short hill. One of us walked through the area and 2 of us rode. I'm talking about 40 to 50 feet of the trail. The crushed granite surface in this spot has been washed away.
