We just finished biking from KC to STL on the Katy! Generally a great ride - but we hit the 100+ heat index and found out that water availability at Trail Heads does not match the map - There was NO water at McKittrick, Treloar or Augusta because of businesses being closed. So...plan ahead and don't count on water being available where the map or signs say it is.

THERE IS ALSO NO WATER BETWEEN SEDAILA AND PILOT GROVE....the Hilliest area of the Trail.
