Bathrooms will be locked, or have been in the past. However, some will or might, have Johnnys next to them. YES! Carry extra water and a way to keep it warm, so that it is not ice when you need it. You will find Gas Stations, of course, for hot beverages and a lot of 'Regulars' who use the trail all year. Snow? Maybe. When it does, we get out our FATTYs and or Skis or Snowshoes, we use the trail ALL year. We grab Umbrellas when it rains.

The Turner Katy Shelter/Hostel in Tebbetts usually stays open until after Thanksgiving, then they winterize it until the following spring. That is a great place to stay inside for a night not having to set up the tent. Beyond that, you want to map out city parks and major campgrounds that tend to stay open in November versus the trailheads.
