Interested in people that have written from Saint Charles to Kirkwood and if it was doable. Thank you so much!

It depends on what kind of city riding you enjoy. I personally like to take multiple routes combining trail segments, sidewalk segments, subdivision cut-throughs, etc...but some people don't enjoy those types of routes and would rather have the straightest route even it involves a two lane road with no shoulders. That is fine for urban road biking, but not a fun way to wrap up a Katy Trail adventure. There is also a good option that allows you to take a bus route to the Kirkwood train station. All St. Louis Metro buses have bike racks on the front. If you let me know what kind of route you prefer, then I would be happy to share a mapped route with you. Unfortunately the routes are not that easy because several areas of western St. Louis County love their gated communities and cul-de-sacs so you have to avoid those residential dead ends and the busy streets at the same time.
