There are a variety of options, depending on what you want in scenery. Here are some choices:
Portland to Bluffton - away from road and near river
McKittrick to Treloar - very nice section right next to river (and away from road) with scenic bluffs
Marthasville to Augusta/Matson - nice section, Daniel Boone grave, good bluffs near Dutzow and Klondike
Defiance to Greens Bottom - nice bluffs, away from road around Weldon Spring, river views, cool bridges
St. Charles to Machens - quiet, river views, ag area, lots of snakes in the summer (part of scenery)
