Camp Stoves on Katy Trail

We're going on a 60 mile bike packing trip soon on the Katy Trail, but I had one question to help with planning our food before we set off: can you use a camp stove along the Katy Trail? I'm not talking building a whole camp fire, but stopping for lunch at one of the benches and using a little backpacking camp stove with the fuel cannisters, or a Biolite camp stove, or something like that.

Thanks,

New Bikepacker

I can't find anything that says that camp stoves are prohibited. They are certainly used at the designated campsites along the trail. Many of those even have fire rings, and camp stoves are generally safer than fire rings.

I don't use a camp stove when bike packing because I just don't want to take the extra weight. But there are some new ones that are much lighter, so I may have to reconsider.
