It's not hard, but it's not the easiest campground to find. When you get to the trailhead, go left to the street, follow it up and around TO THE LEFT as it curves around to the right. There is a sign that says "CAMPING" with an arrow - pointing to the right - go there.
We couldn't seem to find the TENT area so we just thru up next to some RV's. Cost was $12 for the night. Best part of the evening was the short, less than a mile through the Fairgrounds ride to the el Espolon Mexican Restaurant and Cantina! Go THERE!
The old grumpy guy who came by to get our $12 in the morning must had a bad night or something, he could have been much more friendly.
Oh well, on to New Franklin and the Katy Roundhouse!
