10/19/2022 - This was my third Katy Trail ride. I had planned to camp but found out that Katy-Rock had small cabins. The temperature was going to near freezing so I called Dale and opted for a cabin. As I arrived from Clinton right at sunset, the cabin was great for $45 (tax included). Dale was very helpful and showed me everything I needed and pointed out nearby food options. One other guy already had a tent setup and we chatted for a few minutes before I got a shower and headed to a warm cabin. The cabins have electricity, beds with sheets and pillows. I was in the Rock Island cabin which had two sets of bunk beds (4 beds total). Since it was just me, I had enough room to bring my bike with panniers inside. The bathroom was heated and spotless. Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. There is also a bike storage shed which looked nice. The campground was immaculate and had fire rings and picnic tables. The camper had a fire going and said the firewood was free. I plan on stopping in Windsor on future trips and staying here. Highly recommend Katy-Rock Junction. Maybe the best place to stay on the trail.
