Advice on overnight parking in Columbia? Can one park at Flat Branch Park?

There is a parking garage a couple of blocks east of Flat Branch Park at Sixth and Cherry. City of Columbia website indicates no stays over 72 hours.

We've left our vehicle there several years ago overnight without incident.
