Do you encounter a lot of hikers/walkers on the trail? Are there any safety concerns on the path?

I’ve been on the trail traveling west to east for the last 3 days and have only seen the occasional hiker.

On weekends in the more populated areas or tourist areas, you might see hikers/walkers/runners. Otherwise, pretty quiet. As far as safety concerns, running over a scampering squirrel might be about it. Crossing paved highways can be tricky. You just gotta use common sense and realize you will never win an encounter with a motor vehicle.
