Hi there-

Working on a “do it yourself” trip for the fall. Anyone know of a physical map of the Katy trail? We prefer physical maps to the interactive ones.

Thank you!

HikingAmerica.com has maps of most of the Katy. They have maps for the American Discovery Trail, of which a majority of the Katy Trail is a part. Something to consider if you can't find any other.

The Sedalia Katy Trail Depot operates a museum and visitor center including souvenirs, Katy stickers and a new cycling jersey every year or few years. This year they made a combined Katy and 250th Anniversary of USA. I have two of their jerseys and they are good quality and made by one of the handful of companies that make custom jerseys for a variety of organizations around the country. There is a link on the bikekatytrail website (the one hosting THIS forum) or the link I cut/pasted. Regarding the map you can print from the state park website and use that until you get to a trailhead for a free one. I’ve read that if you contact state parks they will mail one.

Hi Ashleigh, Katy Trail maps can be downloaded from this same webpage that this forum is on. Also, I posted on June 28 under the name "Dogbert" seeking interested parties to join us for a ride in October, including my preferred itinerary. Maybe you (and friends?) will consider joining us for a group ride. I will look at this forum thread you began, and if interested (or just seeking more information) please consider replying to my post. Any way you may choose to spend time on the Katy, it's hard to NOT enjoy it!!

Ah, yes Ashleigh, I thought of a better option: On the glossy, fold-out map I have from a trailhead on the Katy, is a phone number I just dialed and was told they would be glad to send a trail map to anyone who asks. That number is 573-449-7402. The gentleman I spoke with said if no one answers, leave a message requesting a map and an address to send it to. I have acquired more than a few maps while traversing the trail, and they are very informative, with points of interest, etc. Happy trails to you, and all!!
