We hope to ride the Katy Trail. Are there any recommendations for accommodations along the way.

Yes. Hampton Inn in Clinton. Hotel Bothwell in Sedalia. Hotel Frederick in Boonville. Katy Trail Cottage in N Jefferson. Doll House B&B in Rhineland (no dolls, don’t worry!). Clay House in Augusta. Country Inn & Suites in St Charles.

We're riding next week. Trying The Hotel Bothwell for the first time. We're partial to the Bed and Bikefast in Rocheport but we've heard great things about The Schoolhouse. Jeff City has been the Doubletree for all of our trips but we're trying the Katy Cottage for the first time this trip. Hermann is always The Vinchester. Defiance and Augusta have been dissapointing so we come up with alternatives.

Hi Mary, if you like small town festivals, you just can't go wrong with the Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival during the 2nd weekend of October. The Festival literally surrounds the trail in the little town of Hartsburg. I do believe you can find anything and everything that in any way relates to pumpkins, and much more. Definitely worth the visit!
