Shuttle a car or catch a ride from St Charles to Clinton October 20

We plan to ride Katy from West to East October 14-19, 2026. On October 20 I plan to return to Clinton. I'm checking the Forum to see if someone needs a car driven back to Clinton on the 20th.

We're coming from Colorado with a truck and camper. We have a place to leave the truck and camper in Clinton at no cost for the week, so I am needing to get a ride back to Clinton at the end of (day after) our trip. I am willing to drive your car back to Clinton if that helps us both out.

Amtrak is a possible solution; just a "rideshare" jaunt away from either end of the trail.

If you plan on using Amtrak, have a back up plan, just in case…..For example, Amtrak has to cancel the River Runner train for a few days this week due to a derailed freight train near Eureka, Missouri. Back up plan options could include renting a car or U-Haul, or booking with a Katy trail shuttle service….google using those key words. Amtrak often has delays, usually short, but not often do they cancel.
