Are there any recommendations for lodging close to the trail in Sedalia other than Hotel Bothwell?

There is a Best Western just a couple hundred yards from where the trail crosses over the main four lane thouroghfare (Hwy 65, I think) that runs through town. There is a pretty good hill from the trail bridge down to the road that CAN be used to walk your bicycle down (just a dirt path that some trail users have "created"). I'm sure there must be a road crossing near there that could be used, AND there are other options along that strip.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Sedalia last week during my ride across the state. It's just a couple miles from the western Sedalia trailhead, near the fairgrounds. You do need to travel down city streets however. Also had a great burger at Volkers restaurant that nite.

Wally's Bike Retreat is 500ft from the Katy Trail. A real cool place to stay that is much closer, and a less expensive option than any hotel offering in town.
