I'm interested in doing a day hike on the trail. I didn't find any information on the website about day hikes or maps for day hikes. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

There are a few of us on here that have hiked the whole trail. I used the maps on here and in the pamphlets at the trail heads. How long do you consider a day hike to be and are you thinking "there and back" or point to point?

I agree with Greg. All I used was the map from the trailhead and Brett Dufur's book. Determine what is the best distance for you to hike comfortably. Don't hike too far because it's a long way back. Bring a hat!!, pack water, and a snack even if you plan on stopping along the way. I guarantee you'll have a super hike. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.
