Has anyone taken their bikes on Amtrak from Kirkwood out to Hermann? I've heard that for an extra fee, Amtrak will let you take your bike on the train. Also, does anyone know of sites to maps of bike trails in and around Hermann?

Amtrak will let you take a bike for an additional fee. Just check out their website. I took mine from Hermann to Sedelia, with no problems. In fact, the conductor even helped me get it on the train.
