I am not sure when you say close how close you are hoping. I road from Clinton to Windsor, and I didn't see anything. But I am sure there is something in Clinton.

Camping is allowed at the fairgrounds across the road from the trail head in Clinton. Just check in at the Benson Center right next door. Also, at the Benson center there are showers and facilities.
