St. Charles to Machens

Planning on completing the Katy Trail (West to East)by bike next week. What is the situation from St. Charles to Machens. Is it open to bikers yet and is the trail easy enough to see from St. Charles to Machens? Please only comment on this portion of the trail. Have completed the rest of it.

There's a 6 mile stretch from St. Chas to mile marker 33 that's not hiker friendly so I doubt you could ride that section. From mile marker 33 to Machens is nice and clear just like the rest of the trail.
