Thinking about riding a section of the trail the 4th and 5th and I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any fireworks or celebrations in any of the towns along the trail.

We live near Jefferson City and they have a fireworks display that is shot off from a barge on the river just in front of the capitol building that can be seen from the North Jefferson trailhead.

Be sure to use a good bug repellant, the mosquitoes have been getting bad - probably due to the flood waters.
