My wife and I stayed at Esther's Ausblich several years ago, and it was a fantastic B&B. Esther had a basket with cheeses, grapes, and some excellent local wine waiting for us, per my wife's request. It is located close to the trail,up on a bluff. We watched fireworks one night. It is centrally located by all the shops and restaurants. There was a hot tub also. Now to the breakfast; it was fantastic, and a lot of locally farmed fruits and vegetables were used. She made the best quiche I've ever had. I think that you should be aware that Hermann gets real busy in october because of the festivities of octoberfest; so I would not waste any time in finding a place to stay if I were you. Enjoy Hermann, it is a beautiful town, and everyone I have ever encountered there was old world lifestyle.
