This is my favorite part of the trail. It is paved and parallels hwy 364 for about 2 miles then
circles around Creeve Core Lake. There is always sail boats and people playing on the
beach. It's beautiful. It totals about 7 miles. small amount of construction detouring the
trail but i always like a good detour.
PS a funny thing happened on that trail to me. I was riding along minding my own business when a bird swooped down and grabbed at my head. now i dont wear a helmet
but after that occurrence i started considering it. The bird was like many others seen
around this trail. It was all black with a small amount of red/ orange coloration close to
the head. anyway dont let that discourage you from enjoying this beautiful trail, because
like i said it's my favorite.

Ah, the infamous Red Wing Blackbird. There are very territorial and well known for buzzing riders. Got me several times last year.

Get a helmet, no reason to be a premature organ donor.

This is very common this time of the year when birds are raising young.

Yep, saw one swoop down from it's nest and take a shot at my husband riding in front of
me!

If you're lucky you may even spot some of the deer that live in the park. I was riding in the park last year and was a bit startled by a pair of deer a few feet off of the trail.

I enjoy riding the page extension bike trail to the lake. Sometimes when you pass through the tunnel between the bridge and the lake, the birds will fly through there with you. I am not sure if the birds are in control of their flight enough to avoid me or if I have been lucky, but I have yet to be hit. Usually, when I ride this trail, I park at the trail head on Greens Bottom road so I can ride a little bit of the Katy Trail also. The Lake House has great fruit smoothies if you have time for a break.
